Cycling club members met at the school gate at 1:00pm on April 29, 2009. When I reach there at 12:50pm, I was wondering why there were only David and Jerry stayed at the school gate. David said that some were writing portfolio busily at home and some went to the net bar. I was really shocked. Those people preferred to stay at a dark room with smokes around them to a fresh, green nature. What are the problems to these teenagers?
We set out at 1:40pm and started the way to Xixia Mountain. Riding on the road, the only thing we could do is to step the pedal and listen to the symphony of the wind. But we also found some interesting things such as some people were collecting honey from the honeycomb. That seemed really scared and we were hit by tens of bees on that road when we riding. Luckily, helmet helped me a lot. Mr. Gallinalli was stopped at the end of the road and he was hit by the bees painfully. Then we went onto the NO.312 national road. I was really familiar with that road because it’s the same road which we went to Baohua Mountain last year. That was the toughest road on today’s trip. The dusty road was full of trucks and I even cannot breathe when a truck passed by. After we reached Xixia Mountain, we found nowhere to go up to the mountain. So we chose another way to Xianlin district. Xianlin was really pretty, like another small downtown in Nanjing. There are big supermarket, beautiful universities and high apartment. The roads were all straight and flat; just like racing roads. Then we decide to go to Purple Mountain to breathe the wonderful air David, Jerry and I even lost our way in Xianlin, but we found that Mr. Gallinali looked like a GPS. No matter where we were, he always can tell us where to go. As we were wondering if he lives here, he told us as a traveler, we have to use sun to estimate the directions. It’s really useful; I used sun and found Purple Mountain at last. We stopped at a small lake and took some beautiful pictures together. The scenes and air in Purple Mountain was perfect. When we went down to the Linggu temple, Mr. Gallinali bought some orange juice and a lamb shashliks and share with us. After supplied energy to our body, we went to a stone road in a small forest. Unluckily, Jerry’s tire blew out. We could only walk with our bike and found a place to fix the tire under the mountain about one kilometer away. While the old man fixing the tire. Several old men were chatting; Mr. Gallinali also joined their chatting. I was really shocked by the fluent Chinese Mr. Gallinali said.
Mr. Gallinali went back home earlier than us because he said that his wife was not at home and he had to take care of his baby. What a responsible father. During 5 hours riding. I relaxed myself and feel the spring. It’s really a good choice to biking as an physical exercise.

For physical activities, I still went to Impulse Health Center. There were so many kinds of things to play, so I chose to play squash. It’s not a popular sport in China but my mom like it. She can play very well. So playing with her has a lot of fun. I also met a very famous writer also playing squash there. We had a lot of fun. Tasting my sweat, waiting for my muscle. Exercises made me stronger.

I went into a church in Jiangsu road; I was really infected by the peaceful and warm atmosphere. A clergy was talking something on Holy Bible to those people on the seat with happy smile. Everyone sat there are all seems friendly. They listened to the clergy carefully and asked the clergy questions from time to time. Looking around the construction of the church; the lights on the wall made like candles are not very bright. They lighten the angel pictures on the wall and gave people a holy feeling. Those angels lined from two sides and in the middle there’s a big cross which is the symbol of Christian. The whole building is Gothic. The sharp top definitely showed that.
As a Christian, the lesson which the clergy taught was pretty simple for me. She mainly talked about the simplest information about Jesus and God. She also taught some difference between Orthodox, Catholicism and Protestantism. I was happy to see more and more people start to own a belief. It’s really important for Chinese people have a religion so that people can have a potential force and control themselves. People can live peacefully with less crimes.

Act in a performance(Fashion show)

I acted in the GCA fashion show on April 27, 2009. This was really unforgettable. I was the only male who acted as a female. My clothes were a white one piece dress with two sexy belts on my shoulder.
As a male, the dress was certainly unsuitable for me. But as the only slim one in my group, I threw caution to the wind. Because male has some differences on appearance, so I had to add something to change it. I bought two steamed bread and put on my chest. That was really uncomfortable because it always drops to my stomach and it became the most embarrassed thing happened on the stage. Luckily, few of them found it.
Having a glimpse of other models, some boys wore handsome jeans, suits and hat like cowboys. Some girls wore black stockings and sexy skirt. What am I? Just a crown. But on the stage, I just walk like mixture of a girl and a boy. I had a slim arm like girls, but as a cyclist, I had a big piece of muscle on my leg. I had butterflies in my stomach and even don’t know how to walk. I nearly slipped down when I go up to the stage because of the unsteady carpet. After all, I almost became a superstar. Tens of people ask me to take photos with them. That’s really funny.
From the fashion show, I learnt a lot. I know how difficult to make clothes. The design used us 8 hours in art class. We have to draw clothes in different angles. We also had to decide the color and the material of the clothes. Then we chose the best looking design, bought the material and then sent it to the dressmaker. As a model, I had to practice a lot of time on it.
Fashion was really a wonderful memory for me. I enjoyed it very much.
